Commenting on the announcement from Royal Mail that it will be making a £20 million investment in order to provide extra resources to deal with the impact of the recent severe weather we have experienced, local MSP, Alison McInnes said: "This is great news for all those who turned to internet shopping during the arctic conditions last week. Royal Mail are to be congratulated for their swift response to the delays caused by the weather.
"The extra resources will allow for the provision of extra sorting office and delivery staff and additional HGV's and drivers and should go a long way to making sure Christmas cards and presents arrive in time."
