Liberal Democrat Margaret Smith MSP says that Scotland is in danger of losing creative talent because of the establishment of Creative Scotland. In questions to the Culture Minister she asked what the Government is doing to help those who will lose their jobs to find new employment.
Margaret Smith said:
"Creative Scotland will cause 33 job losses in the creative industries. This flies in the face of the SNP's commitment to developing regional broadcasting at a time when there is real concern about broadcasting in Scotland.
"The Minister's commitment to no compulsory redundancies is welcome.
"We must do all we can to keep creative talent in Scotland and maintain our excellent record of producing groundbreaking broadcasting."
